Weekly pre-schooler play groups: Wellies in the Woods

Wellies in the Woods in Swadlincote are FREE play sessions for children aged 2 – 5 years old.

They combine play with education and creativity. Children and their grown-ups will be able to make new friends and get creative, exploring nature and creatures great and small! 🌱🐛🍃

Each session includes story time, with activities built around the story. We will be reading all the classics – from the Gruffalo to the Stick Man.

The blocks are made up of 8 weekly sessions, you can choose your preferred day and time from the list below. You can still sign up if you can’t make every session in your chosen block!

You can also join us partway through a block – everyone is welcome. Open to people living in South Derbyshire only.

Block 5 Tuesday 3rd June – Friday 25th July 2025

Two Sessions each day

Tuesday  10 – 11:30am OR  1 – 2:30pm
Friday  10 – 11:30am OR 1 – 2:30pm.

Please note an adult must accompany children, and we advise you to dress for the weather and bring a drink.
