The Courtside Café

Family-run cafe nestled in the South Derbyshire countryside. Open 9am–3pm, Thursday to Monday.

We serve a range of homemade, freshly prepared food using local ingredients and suppliers wherever possible. Enjoy barista coffee, homemade cakes, and a varied seasonal menu with daily specials to suit everyone, including vegan, vegetarian, and dietary options. We’re also allergy-aware and happy to accommodate where we can.

Situated right beside the tennis courts and surrounded by greenery, the café includes a main building, a brand-new cabin for undercover seating, and plenty of outdoor seating on the grass. We’re dog-friendly (for well-behaved pups!) and family-friendly too.

Eat in and relax or take your order away, we serve food from 9am–2pm, followed by drinks and cakes from 2–3pm. We serve breakfast until 12pm and then a lunch menu until 2 pm. You’ll find a wide range of cakes and drinks, including freshly made coffees, speciality teas, and soft drinks.

We also offer event bookings, our cabin and outdoor areas are available for private gatherings such as birthday parties, group meet-ups, and community events.

We regularly host charity events too, including our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning.
