Repton Walk
Circular walk taking in the historic villages of Repton, Twyford and Milton in South Derbyshire and skirting Foremark Reservoir. Starting in Repton (at one time the capital of Mercia) from Repton Cross, find the remains of Twyford chain ferry, visit St Saviour’s Church – one of the first in England to be built after the Restoration of the Monarchy (and the lifting of the ban on church building) – and the attractive hamlet of Milton.
Repton is easily accessible on the B5008 road North West of Burton upon Trent.
The walk takes around 3.5 hours, is mostly off-road but incorporates a number of stiles and gates.
For a more detailed map of the route you are recommended to refer to Ordnance Survey Explorer 245: The National Forest.
