Rosliston Five Woodlands Circular
This route takes you west of Swadlincote to visit the villages of Rosliston and Coton-in-the Elms and the hamlet of Botany Bay.
Follow Rosliston Forestry Centre’s Adventure Trail through Fox Covert Plantation and into Penguin Wood. From here, you pass the small hamlet of Botany Bay and one of the earliest National Forest plantations, Beehive Woodland. Head through Coton-in-the-Elms, loop past Burton Abbey and head back to the Visitor Centre.
Stiles: 3 stiles
Terrain: Field and woodland paths, country lanes and tracks that can be muddy after rain. Walking boots are essential. Dog friendly but they need to be able to get over the stiles.
