Shardlow Marina & Caravan Park

In a rural setting in the historic canal-side village of Shardlow lies the leisure marina. Close to the River Trent and within a stone’s throw of both the River Derwent and Trent & Mersey Canal. Shardlow was an important location in days gone by and the heyday of the canal. But even today there is a lot to see and do around this historic village.

A visit to the village Heritage Centre is always worthwhile and you will find historical information boards around the village too. There are walks galore for the active, both around the village and across the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of opportunities to go fishing both in the locality and in designated areas within the marina.

The Marina & Caravan Park welcomes motorhomes, touring caravans and tents on the touring field site, which is flat and overlooks the boats in the marina. The onsite shop sells everything including the kitchen sink and also has a well-stocked chandlery for boaters. Other onsite facilities include: electric hook-up stations, water stations, toilets, showers and a launderette, bar, dog friendly. We also have a dedicated dog walking area where dogs can be exercised off-lead as long as they are accompanied.
