TTV Alrewas & Yoxall Circular

This walk follows the Trent Valley Way from Alrewas and crosses fields to Yoxall Bridge and on to Yoxall village, returning to Alrewas through woodland and over fields via Wychnor.

This walk will take you across farmland fields and woodland tracks with stiles, gates and narrow footbridges. Suitable footwear is advised.

The key points of interest you’ll see on this walk are:

• Alrewas
  • The site of the last mill dating back to the 17th Century
• Yoxall Bridge
  • The site of an old 18th century bridge, now replaced by the modern bridge built next to it.
• Yoxall
  • A village dating as far back as the 11th Century, deriving it’s modern name from the original ‘Locheshale’
• Wychnor Hall
  • Grade II building from the 18th Century, now converted into a Country house
