The Bretby philosophy is to provide top quality plants and a personal, friendly and knowledgeable service. Established 109 years ago, the site has seen a number of transformations from a fernery to a flourishing tomato nursery with greenhouses heated by hot water.
Today Planters is a flourishing garden centre with extended covered plant areas, gifts and homewares, an aquatic centre and furniture items. The restaurant has an extensive menu plus a play area for the children, seasonal events take place including the ‘Beach’ in Summer and the ‘Ice Rink’ in Winter. The friendly staff love helping their customers with advice or just taking your heavy purchases to your car, nothing is too much trouble.
The restaurant is an ideal stop for cake lovers, with an array of home made treats to accompany your coffee or you may prefer an Afternoon Tea with all the trimmings.
