A hidden gem in the heart of the National Forest offering lots of activities for great days out. From quiet walks to play areas and action-packed family fun, the Centre’s mix of woodland and meadow, ponds and play areas, offer the perfect playground for visitors of all ages and physical abilities, throughout the year.
Explore on foot or by bike through the woodland trails – the routes form a part of the 75-mile long National Forest Way. While you are here, try out your map-reading skills and follow one of the point to point orienteering courses around the site.
The Visitor Centre provides an introduction to the 154 acre site and the activities on offer, including cycle hire, a bird hide, guided walks, fishing, falconry, astronomy, Park Run, corporate days and parties. ‘Get Active in the Forest’ activities like Nordic walking and Tai Chi are also on offer.
The award winning Environmental Education Project is based on site and runs school visits, family events, parties and volunteer activities for individuals, businesses and other groups – all with an environmental theme and based on providing a fun learning experience.
With great views across the woodlands, refreshments are ready and waiting 7-days a week in the Hub Café. Thaw out those tingly fingers with a marshmallow-piled hot chocolate during the winter frosts and cool down with a creamy ice cream on those balmy sunny Summer days – not to mention the delicious cakes and meals!
The centre is also a showcase for sustainable forestry, forming part of the National Forestry England estate.

Why not stay a while? There are six beautiful Forest Lodges where you can enjoy a short break or longer holiday, at any time of the year. Each lodge is privately situated in its own secluded corner of woodland and offers a full range of self-catering holiday facilities. All lodges are also wheelchair accessible and feature facilities designed to be accessible for all.
Rosliston Forestry Centre is within easy reach of Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton upon Trent.
