Do you have what it takes to complete Wagtail’s 85km East Midlands Odyssey?
This specially-curated bike ride is designed to show the most curious cyclist everything you can possible see in a day’s cycling from Wagtail’s base in Diseworth, North West Leicester – but with it being a circular route, you’re free to start from anywhere you please!
This route will have you pedalling off along heritage trails, scenic tow paths and quiet country lanes for 50 glorious miles.
From bustling market towns to ancient buildings, local history and much more, this route really has it all!
And your choice for stop offs is almost unlimited – with a large variety of choices in Melbourne and Kings Newton, Mercia Marina and the nearby Willington, and the various stops along the route in the smaller villages like Wilson and Breedon-on-theHill – this day’s cycle ride could turn into a week’s holiday without too much trouble!
You’ll cycle Grace Dieu Wood, Staunton Harold, Calke Abbey, King’s Newton, the Cloud Trail, Willington, Melbourne, Wilson and Breedon-on-the-Hill, to name just. a few highlights.
