Mills, Mines and Murder: A Bretby Estate Walk
A historical figure of eight walk from Sharpe’s Pottery Heritage & Arts Centre in Swadlincote taking in Eureka Park, Owd Shoddy Pit, Hoofie’s Farm and Bretby Hall before returning back to Swadlincote town centre.
Swadlincote loop 2.25 miles; Bretby loop 3.5 miles. Walk total 5.75 miles.
Terrain – town pavements, field paths and bridleways which can be muddy after rain. There are some ascents and descents and 5 stiles. Walking boots essential.
