Sealwood Cottage, Camp and Caravan Site
Based in the heart of the National Forest in South Derbyshire, yet far enough off the beaten track for you to enjoy peace and quiet, the caravanning and camp site has wonderful views, plenty of space, electric hook up facilities, modern shower and toilet block and chickens so you can purchase your very fresh breakfast. This working farm and vineyard (wine can also be purchased) is situated in a wildlife area with pheasants running around, buzzards flying high – your day will be full of birdsong.
The Grade II listed Gothic holiday cottage overlooks its very own vineyard! Offering comfortable accommodation for two people this delightful cottage is full of quirky features and antique furniture, gothic doorways, fireplaces and large windows with glorious views.
Situated in a lovely part of the National Forest, Sealwood is an ideal base for exploring the local area or for a relaxing break. There are plenty of things to see and do nearby, including Conkers, the National Memorial Arboretum, National Trust Calke Abbey, Staunton Harold Hall and Reservoir, and the historic towns and villages of Swadlincote and Melbourne.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the region with a glass of fine English wine produced on site from Sealwood Cottage’s own vineyard. The vineyard was planted in 2008 with 4,000 vines. Vineyard tours and wine tastings are available – please see website for details.
