Four Oaks Campsite

Lovely campsite set in five acres of beautiful Derbyshire farmland close to the canal with delightful walks. There are 22 pitches – all flat. Eleven pitches have electrical hook-up. Facilities include heated shower block, disabled toilet, pot wash area, communal BBQ area and pizza oven. Open from April to end of October.

The site is in walking distance (0.25 miles) of Stenson Bubble Lock where you can lean on the bridge and watch the boats go through, or sit in the coffee shop, relax and watch the canal lock working. The Bubble Inn (pub and restaurant) is in the same area, a few yards away from the canal towpath.

Two miles away in Twyford you can also book a river canoe experience with Trent Adventure and see the area and wildlife from the banks of the River Trent.

The site is 4.5 miles from Derby city, 8 miles from Burton upon Trent and 2.5 miles from Willington. Also in the area to visit is nearby Mercia Marina at Willington – one of the largest inland marinas in Europe boasting numerous cafés, restaurants and shops plus plenty of cycling and walking routes.
