Busy marina on the Trent & Mersey Canal
Stenson Marina is located on the Trent & Mersey Canal to the south of Derby, with a gastropub, hotel, coffee shop, boatyard and moorings for 80 boats.
A cluster of building front the canal. A Grade II listed cottage “Stenson Lock Cottage” was constructed shortly after the canal was built by the Harpur Crewe estate. Today, the Stenson Lock Coffee Shop offers canalside snacks and traditional crafts.
The former outbuildings of Stenson House have been converted into The Bubble Inn & Hotel featuring a menu with an authentic Mediterranean twist plus overnight accommodation.
