Narthex Wargaming

Welcome to Narthex

Narthex are a Wargaming centre that has been running for since 2020 right in the heart of the National Forest, selling a variety of miniature hobby products including, Games Workshop, Army Painter, Two Thin Coats and much more.

They also offer a table service every day of the week to which you can book one of eight of their tables and come down and play with your miniatures; they allow any games to be played including Wargaming, Board Games, RPG’s and more.

Narthex also run a Youth Club, every Saturday 10:00am till 1:00pm, hosted by a group of their staff members. This youth club was made so young individuals can get together and play some games, meet new friends, paint models and overall have fun. They encourage good sportsmanship, team building skills and just enjoying throwing down some and playing against one another.

They also run workshops for the youth club every so often, where the young members can take part in mass battles or can join painting workshops to learn how to paint their miniatures.

Narthex is situated in what we like to call a “mini warehouse” along Alexandra Road. In front of the Cain Bro’s lumber yard, you’ll find a row of four buildings whose backs face Alexandra Road. Turn around to the left straight after coming off the main road (do not go down Rink Drive or to the back of the Sharpes industrial estate!) and you’ll find Narthex signposted in the second unit, with their entrance facing the lumber yard.
