Award winning narrow-gauge railway, tramway and museum
The Statfold Country Park runs both steam and diesel trains with a heritage museum housing more than 20 working engines. The Railway features three different track sizes, ranging from 12 ¼ to 2 feet gauge. All aboard for unlimited rides along the award winning railway or journey down to our woodland trail on our miniature Mease Valley Light Railway.
Statfold is home to the last tram from the Burton & Ashby Light Railway which once linked the two towns running through South Derbyshire with its depot in Swadlincote. In 2014, Car 14 was brought back from Detroit, restored and is now in service.
Statfold Country Park offers a unique day out with a range of family fun attractions to experience. If you need a break from the excitement, you can relax and refuel at Peeler’s Bar. All before, wrapping up your visit with a trip to the gift shop.
