Christmas comes but once a year, and for now the decorations have been taken down and Santa’s Reindeers have retuned to their stables for a well earned rest.
We had three great free weekends of Christmas entertainment in Swadlincote town centre including a visit by The Snowman™ , decorated VW classic vehicles, markets, music, a festive dog show and entertainment for all. And although the weather did try to spoil things, we carried on regardless!
The next event will be Derbyshire Makes which will take place across the county from the 11 April- 16 May. Six hub towns will be showcasing local makers from all genres, each with their own unique range of activities to celebrate making in their area
Swadlincote will be holding its amazing day of celebration on Saturday 25 April and more information will be available as the programme is confirmed. In 2025 there was a fabulous range of free workshops, demonstrations, ‘have a go’ sessions and music available to enjoy and this year’s activities will be equally as exciting. Keep your eyes open for further updates.
