Rosliston Forestry Centre's Trails and Walks
A hidden gem in the heart of the National Forest offering lots of activities for great days out. From quiet walks to play areas and action-packed family fun, the Centre’s mix of woodland and meadow, ponds and play areas, offer the perfect playground for visitors of all ages and physical abilities, throughout the year.
You can explore the Centre on foot or by bike and there are a handful of trails set up for you to enjoy the sights and sounds that Rosliston Forestry Centre has to offer. The different trails are:
- Wild and Woody Sculpture Trail – 1 mile
- Science Trail – 1.25 miles
- Short Walk – 1 mile
- Medium Walk – 1.25 miles
- Long Walk – 2 miles
- Plus there is the Japanese Trail highlighting South Derbyshire’s links with Japan and introducing Japanese culture with Cherry Blossoms, Japanese Maples and many references to Japanese culture.
The surfaced trails are fully accessible and mobility scooters are available for anyone who struggles to walk but still wants to enjoy the trails and routes!
Toilets and refreshments are available in the Visitor Centre which is also highlighted on the map below.
