Serendipity was built in the curtilage of Repton School in 1999.
The front and back gardens are developed from new. The front garden is simple and in keeping with the elegance of the school. The rear garden , accessed by steps and path by the side of the house, is a shady woodland garden with a variety of themes and areas of different functions. It is designed to be easy maintenance; if there is such a thing. The gardens are bordered to the left by a formidable old hedge and to the right by’ Ernie’s wall”, a monument to his skills and energy and a reminder of the rock upon which Serendipity stands. Warning to real gardeners; we are simple labourers not plantsmen.
