Moira Canal Festival at Moira Furnace Museum and Country Park
16 May 2026 - 17 May 2026 , 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
16 May 2026 - 17 May 2026 , 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
The Moira Canal Family Festival is back, now in its 23rd Year!.
The Moira Furnace, the Ashby Canal and its visiting boats are included in the scene and are the ideal backdrop to the event and the wide range of attractions.
This year we are pleased to welcome ‘Britain’s Got talent finalist Mike Woodhams, with his spectacular imitations of popular songs and singers. From Kate Bush to David Bowie, Elton John to Beyonce, he has to be heard to be believed. Competed with LED wall, it will be a show to remember!
Look out for the Battle of Britain Memoria Flight where we will be treat4ed to a flypast by one of their classic aircraft – maybe Hurricane, Spitfire? Just wait and see.
Mother duck and her ducklings will be holding what has now become a tradition – the Moira Duck Race. Find Mrs Duck around the site and get a flag to enter the race.
All profits contribute to maintaining the canal between Moira and Donisthorpe, as well as supporting long term plans to restore the Ashby Canal north of Snarestone
